Fortress Student Ministries

“A Place to Belong,  A Place to Become!”

 Fortress Student Ministries exists to bring youth to genuine, real encounters with God, to deepen relationships with Him, and to reflect Him to the world. Students in Middle School and High School are invited to join us Friday nights at Fortress. Enjoy the café and have fun in the youth game room, live worship band, teaching & small groups.  We also have fun monthly activities, outreaches, special services and mission’s trips. Fortress is led by Chris and Alissa Welty and meets in the main Sanctuary on Fridays, 6:45 PM- 10:00 PM at FOB. Training

Our goal at Fortress is not to entertain, not to just “keep the students out of trouble.” God has already deposited within them the ability to dream big dreams, and we want to play a part in seeing those dreams become a reality. By partnering with parents, providing caring mentors, and using God’s principles and anointing, we know we can make a difference!

Adventure

Want to do more than the average teen? Connect with Fortress, soon you’ll find yourself in places you’d never thought you’d be. You may be helping children in the village of another country, feeding the homeless in another state, or witnessing on the streets here in Sarasota. We’re looking for youth who want to make their mark! Come join us!!

Special Teams

We have Special Teams for  students to join to help them in making a difference in this generation.  There are several special youth teams to get involved in that meet weekly and/or monthly including the Student Council, Encouragement Team, Teaching Team, Drama Team, Prayer Team and the Youth Worship Team. See Chris & Alissa or your small group leader if you are interested in joining any of these teams.
