Outreach
For our local outreaches, besides teaming up with area ministries, we have many city outreaches that we do within our own church. We have many Small Groups that are evangelistic in nature, trying to reach people through building relationships and common interests. We are always looking for people with a heart to help out others in need. It is our privilege and duty as Christians to do all we can to reach the lost. CITY OUTREACH TEAMS
These teams focus on exhibiting God’s love to those who are in need of help and hope. If you would like to be involved in any of these ministries, please contact the church office.
Contact Team
Be an extension of the Pastoral Ministry and encourage others by sending encouraging cards, emails, and phone calls. Led by Pastor Don and Pastor Tom.
Food Ministry Outreach
Help our food ministry team distribute free food to those in need. Sundays after service for distribution. Sundays before service for food pick-up at Publix grocery store. Lead by Don and Carol Wengerd
Visitation Ministry
Be an extension of the Pastoral Ministry by visiting those in need. Led by Pastor Don and Pastor Tom.
Jail Ministry Team
Join the team in ministering in area jails. This is a great opportunity to minister to those in need! Tuesdays (Women) and Fridays (Men), 7:30 PM. Led by James Paulk.
Meals Ministry
Be part of the team that brings meals to those who are sick, suffering a tragedy, or rejoicing as a new baby has arrived. Led by Rhae Ann Ongstad.
Mentoring Team
Help mentor and disciple new believers. Resources provided by the church. Led by Pastor Tom.
Missionary Support
Be an encouragement to our missionaries by sending cards, emails, or gifts. Led by Diane Lafler.
Nursing Home Ministry
Have a heart to minister to others? Serve by building relationships with the elderly, ministering in song, sharing your heart, or organizing a team. Join over 40 helpers from FOB in ministering to several area Nursing Homes. Teams meet on a rotation basis on Sunday afternoons. Led by Willis Derstine.
Short Term Mission Trip
We will train you, give you opportunities to raise funds for your trip and send you off for a trip that will make a lasting impact on you and those you meet. Led by Diane Lafler.
