We have participated, another year, in Sarasota’s Mayor’s Feed the Hungry Program. For the entire month of November, we had boxes located in the lobby as you walk into the church, where we collected the canned and boxed goods for needy families around the Sarasota/Bradenton area. Every Monday when we came into work, we were so excited to see the boxes filling up so quickly! FOB  donated so much to this ministry and cannot wait until next year… I think we may have some fun ideas for the Pastors and Ministry leaders! You won’t want to miss the excitement!

The Mayors’ Feed the Hungry Program is an all volunteer organization consisted of charitable groups,  religious institutions and service agencies endorsed by the Mayors of: Sarasota; Venice, Bradenton; Longboat Key; North Port, Palmetto and the County Commission Chairpersons of Manatee and Sarasota Counties.  They have no paid employees, and no expenses for offices or storage spaces.  Everything they collect will always be given away free to those in need in our local communities.
